US Military Doubts Effectiveness Missile Shield
A missile shield should protect Europe and North-America against incoming missiles from Iran and North-Korea within a time span of a few years (not to mention of course missiles from Russia and China. And Israel would never launch missiles againt Europe, now would they?). Confidential reports from the US military now express doubts that such a shield would function at all. Planned installation locations: Turkey, Poland and Romania. A study from the National Academy of Sciences recommends stationing of the shield in the eastern United States rather than in Europe. Many problems remain and it seems doubtfull that there is going to be any missile shield any time soon.
