Observing the world of renewable energy and sustainable living

German Energy Giant E.ON Abandons Fossil & Nuclear

In a dramatic move, the German energy giant E.ON decided to split the company and concentrate in the future on renewable energy and grids. This is the first energy company in Europe to do so and shows the irreversibility of developments in the European energy sector.

Editor: the people running E.ON would not make this move if they wouldn’t expect profitability. The measure is a direct consequence of the strategic decisions made on the political level in Germany. This is a very encouraging sign.
